九龍坡：與江為伴 與鷺同行

Stretching 31 kilometers, the Jiulongpo section of the Yangtze River is home to China’s first egret reserve. After nearly disappearing in the 1950s, egrets gradually returned thanks to long-term grassroots conservation and official protection efforts. A retired fisherman has witnessed the change firsthand, living by the river for decades alongside the egrets.

長江九龍坡段共31公里，全國第一個白鷺自然保護區(qū)就在這里。上世紀50年代，白鷺一度絕跡，隨著村民自發(fā)植樹護鳥，政府設(shè)立保護區(qū)，鷺群才逐漸回歸。長江畔的一位退捕老漁民，成了這一切的見證者，半個多世紀以來，他以江為伴，與鷺同行。
